Law Office Of Barry M. Lewis

When you retain the Law Office of Barry M. Lewis to represent you in a criminal defense or personal injury case, I am the lawyer who will represent you from the beginning of your case until the end. You won't find out that your important legal matter is being handled by a junior associate whom you meet the day of your first court appearance.

I am Barry M. Lewis. I have successfully defended people accused of crimes in the Chicago area for more than 35 years. I grew up with lawyers all around me, and criminal defense has been a family business for generations.

I am a member of a Chicago Bar Association committee and past chairperson of another criminal law-related committee. I am also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

I have lectured lawyers on criminal defense issues and was an adjunct professor of trial advocacy at a local law school. I attended and participated in several extensive trial advocacy programs, notably the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers advanced trial advocacy program in Houston.

I continue to attend numerous recognized continuing legal education courses. I served two terms as the Judge Advocate of the Chicago Yachting Association, which is the umbrella organization dealing with all the Chicago-area yacht clubs. Obviously, there are countless attorneys in the Chicago-area yacht clubs. They wanted me as their lawyer.

I practice in all Illinois courts, including all county, state, federal, appellate and supreme courts. I have a reputation for innovative trial work. The outcome of your case is very important to me, and I will fight hard for you.
